Just inches away from being good/great Sep 10, 2010
By D. Welter I am a poop expert. I pick up after 3 dogs and have for years. That's why I was bummed when my 4th S.A.S.I. Scoop broke and I looked to Amazon to replace it. No more "Scoop and Sack It" available, just this Yard Butler. Same great concept of attaching used grocery bags to dispose of waste and a scoop that let's you just, well, scoop it in and move on. Unfortunately, the Yard Butler is not round but flat on the bottom, making it harder to scoop in the grass. The prongs aren't long enough for getting under the "business" to pick it up into the bag. I've gotten around this by angling the scoop to use the edge but why not design it right to begin with. The handle is WAY TOO SHORT. Hey Yard butler, how about using your own product once before selling it? Anyway, I'll use this until it breaks. They all break. And buy another S.A.S.I. Scoop straight from the manufacturer.
Take it from an expert. Find a SASI Scoop and only buy this thing in a pinch.
Poor copy of the Super-Dooper Pooper Scooper Jul 05, 2011
By K. Harris It's heavy, awkward to use, the flat bottom makes it difficult to pick up poop on anything but a flat, smooth surface and the handle is too short. Using this on grass or uneven ground is a challenge. I have an old model of the original Super Dooper Pooper Scooper which is made of durable black plastic about 4 inches round, not flat bottomed, which works very well in grass, on uneven ground, and on flat surfaces as well. It has an adjustable length handle, and weighs about half of this item. It also cost half what this one does.
OK Pooper Scooper, but had better Dec 18, 2010

"Smokey"
I've owned several types of scoopers, and this is one of the better, and makes a great use of the leftover grocery sacks. The Tines and the Bottom being flat make for difficult pickup and cleanup afterwords. I purchased a similar plastic model, SASI, and it worked much easier. If you could match up the rounded bottom from the SASI and the way the bags tie on the Butler, you'd have a product everyone would love.
Better than the alternative Oct 07, 2010
By V. N. Boyd I've been using a small rake do-hicky that you scoot the poo into another do-hicky...that stank...literally. This keeps you away from the nasty, which is a huge improvement. It is a bit heavy, especially once you've reached the far end of the yard, but again...better than the alternative. This is the 3rd scoop I've had, and I have to say it is a far cry better than the previous two. Not perfect, but with this job, the only perfect would be for the dog to clean up after themselves.

By Sandra L. Hagaman This item arrived with a bent handle which in turn makes it very hard to use. Very disappointed in this product.
