best iron I've owned Oct 07, 2009
By A. Rhodes Ive had it plugged in daily for hours for 10 months. Handle stays cold. Element actually almost too hot, the metal tube will start to glow slightly if placed completely into the insulated holder I use.

Lightweight tool, not for big jobs. Jun 30, 2011
By Harmless Gryphon This is a standard Weller soldering iron (and can be used as such) with an exacto-style knife blade holder. The iron itself is 25 watts. For small jobs, such as sealing and thin plastic cutting, this tool is fine. Don't expect to use it for anything thick without some difficulty.
