This is quality knife from Victorinox. It is super light (with the alox scales), but it is sturdy as a rock and the blade seems thicker than comparable size plastic scaled Vic SAKs. It has just the right tools to be useful, and it is so thin you will forget you have it in your pocket until you need it, but it won't let you down. I have a old-style "Soldier" model (not the one handed version) and it is excellent, but a little to big to carry for every day use (I live in the city where people sometimes freak out about pocket knives). The "Cadet" is an excellent replacement, as I feel it is a little smaller and less threatening while maintaining the high level of quality. My "Soldier" is silver and my "Cadet" is red, and I must say that while both are really cool and elegant looking, the red is slightly more stylish (in my opinion). This knife is an incredible value for the price in terms of quality, and the combination of light weight and strength is amazing. It's my new favorite pocket knife to carry.

A very attractive little knife. I love the alox scales, the ultra thin profile, and the light weight of the knife. This knife was, I believe, designed as a "gentlemens knife" something you could use in the office, dinner, or other social situation without raising eyebrows. It doesn't have many tools but the ones it does have work perfectly, the can opener is probably the best I've seen on any multitool, even better than the slightly larger versions on the other Victorinox knives I've got. The nail file is also very top quality. Even if I'm carrying another knife with me this thing is so compact, easy to carry and just plain attractive that I'll probably find a place to carry it anywhere I go.
