1Don't buy it!  May 22, 2006 By Terry M.
The first log that I tried to lift was about 10" in diameter and 8 feet long. I placed the unit about 20" from one end. The socket that the jack stand plugs into snapped on the first lift. I don't know if the metal was crystallized from welding or what but is was extremely weak. I ended up welding in a reinforcing gusset to make the thing work but it is still substandard.

5Nice product  Jun 29, 2008 By paratwa
My experience with this product has been much better than the earlier reviewer. I have used it with logs up to 14 inches in diameter, and did not have any problems. Sometimes a longer handle is needed to increase the lifting torque, so I just slide a "cheater bar" onto the end. Yes, there are some that are more expensive, but this is a good product for the casual user.
