Great basic pry bar set Sep 10, 2011
By Geno Cornwell sells these for around $50. I got this set on sale for $45 5 months ago for home usage. In June I replaced my gates and I used the 24 to jockey the new one in place while I bolted the hinges on. With all the steel and wood weight I was impressed it didn't bend at all. The only gripe I have is that they are not striking bars like my cats paws or snap on bar sets at work. If these are struck the handle can shatter and cut you so be careful. If a striking set is desired, look up mayhew cats paw or dominator bars. I have a 42 and 48 inch dominator bar at work and they take lots of punishment and still deliver when needed.
Good set for home or automotive use. Dec 24, 2011

This is a great set of pry bars for use around the house or car. The smallest one I use for removing door panels on cars. The next larger one is good for small boxes. The larger two could be for light remodeling. These will save your screwdriver set and give you a better handle to use. Would be rated higher if the handles were padded instead of hard plastic and some molding ribbing left on some. I wrapped mine with some grip tape and it helped a lot. The finish will wear off and these would not be good for use around anything that could spark with metal contact. Get a set, but do not expect them to stay together for long, they end up all over the place. A pouch or case would have been nice for this price. They can be found cheaper on-line on sale as well.
Should have purchased long ago. Oct 05, 2011
By R. Neve I had long put off buying pry bars by rationalizing I could use use screw drivers. After damaging some tools and things I was working on, I now know the folly of this. These work much better than any screw driver.
If you ever do any prying, do yourself a favor and get the right tool.
Pleasently surprised! Apr 16, 2011
By Herbster I used to work part time at a garage doing all your typical jobs and that included a lot of front end work. Quality rigid pry bars are a must for front end work! I started working on my personal vehicles in my home garage as opposed to at the shop so that i can drink beer and get my hands dirty with some friends, so i had to get my own tools. Shopped around and say this set. The garage I worked at had a set of Sunex impact sockets (Awesome sockets and very affordable!) so I was familiar with the name and thought, well for this price they are worth a shot. I was expecting something that would flex more then the Snap-on bars I am used to but to my surprise these were very comparable. Finish is not as good but who cares, there just gonna get dragged across rusty steel any way. Handles are comfortable and the blades are of good quality steel and hardened. (I'm a journeymen Tool and Die Builder, I know steel.)

best bang for your buck Oct 01, 2010
By JT Definitely one of the best bangs for your buck out there. From the ammount of times ive used it, i would say these are durable. The one thing i don't like about the 2 bigger pry bars is that they are a little too thin. The thickness of the actual bar could bigger. Other than that they get the job done and do it pretty well.
