By Dan Abbott Starrett makes the best edge finders. Been using them for years. The cheaper ones don't seem to pop over as much. The Starrett is easier to see when it pops over.
These are awesome Feb 28, 2011
By Corbin Dunn Not much more to say, but Starett makes excellent quality parts. This is my second edge finder; the first cheapo one I had fell apart.

Shaft is oversized! Feb 08, 2011
By Tramping Abroad These kinds of tools, like my Starrett wiggler, etc., are usually made a tenth or two undersized so they fit in a standard .375" tool holder. Not this one: it's .3752", which means I have to either return it or make a custom tool holder (I did the latter, but why should I have to?).
I like my other Starrett tools, but this was a disappointment.
