2Made in Germany?  Mar 02, 2007 By Brian J. Halton
I have 4 Stabila levels and they are all superior products. I recently purchased the 72" Type 80A-2 3-Vial Contactor's level and was shocked by what came. Instead of having machined alluminum faces (like my other Stabila levels), this level is just stamped from sheet metal. How long can you expect this edge to be accurate? One bump with a hammer and your straight edge is gone. It is 1/4 inch thinner and 1/4 inch more narrow than my other Stabila levels. It says "Germany" on the side but no where does it say "Made in Germany" like my other Stabila levels. This level looks to me like it came right out of China marketed on a good German name. Don't waste your money on it.

4Good deal.  Jul 31, 2007 By L. Webley
It's a good price and good level, however you might find the frame lacking in durability. If you're on a bigger crew where people might be hard on your level from time to time, might want to step up to the jammers set...or be prepared to return the level when the frame gets bent.

We bought 2 for our crew, they're hard on tools and one of the levels has a 1/16th in. cup and will have to be returned sooner or later. They're very litewieght, accurate and a great price.

5an excellent buy  Aug 23, 2006 By Davin Wiepking
I was very happy to see the item in perfect condition and in original packaging. Stabila stands up to its guarantee as being the best level in the world. It is extremely reliable and sturdy.

5Excellent for the purpose  Feb 26, 2011 By Tom Bellemare
Please let me agree that this level isn't Stabila's beefiest.

It isn't designed for that. It is designed to be more of an installer's type, where light weight, and ease of cleaning is at a premium.

If you want a level that you can drive over with your car or truck, look at the 96 series.

'Full disclosure, I sell Stabila...

5accuracy  Mar 08, 2007 By John Armstrong
I like how there are no hand holes in the frame, I always thought of these points as weak points where the level would skew when left in the hot sun.
