Stabila 25100 May Be Pricey, But It Will Win You Over! Feb 24, 2000

I own (and use) just about every type of woodworking/handyman tool known to man. I only buy high quality tools, even if it's a tool that I'll use only occasionally. I just purchased the Stabila 25100 10" Die Cast torpedo level and it is, without a doubt, THE best I've ever seen or used. My friend is a self-employed electrician who abuses all of his tools. He came to my house to wire-up a 240 volt circuit recently. While running some metal conduit, he proudly displayed his Stabila 10" box frame level with the "strip" magnet on one edge, knowing how much I admire quality tools. His level looked like it received heavy use -- which it did! -- but still worked flawlessly. Having just received my Stabila 25100 10" level, I immediately retrieved it to show my electrician friend. His eyes bugged out of his head as soon as he saw it. He really loved the way it looked, but more importantly, he loved how it performed so much better for his line of work. The magnets on the model 25100 are much, much more powerful than the strip magnet on the Stabila box frame magnetic levels. His level sticks to the metal conduit, but falls off easily if he moves the conduit even slightly. My model 25100 stuck to the conduit solidly, even when he carried the conduit around in my garage! The Stabila 25100, with it's excellent design, dead-on accuracy, outstanding warranty and extremely strong magnets, it's unquestionably well worth every penny. In fact, my electrician friend asked me to order him one right away, which I've already done. This one is the Mercedes of 10" torpedo levels.

A pleasure to use Apr 03, 2004

I'm a remodeler and have found tons of uses for this little level. First off, it's extremely solid and reliable, so I'm more likely to use it. I previously owned a torpedo level that was partially plastic and didn't give very accurate readings (so I often didn't even bother using it). The large bubble on the Stabilia is very easy to read. The magnets are so powerful that the level can stick to corner bead that's being hit with a pneumatic stapler or ductwork that I'm tapping into place. I love being able to stick it onto ducts when I'm in cramped attics or on roofs and know that it won't fall off. It frees up my hands to hold tools, move materials, or balance myself when I'm in precarious locations. The Stabilia's shape makes it easy to put into my toolbelt as well.

top notch level Feb 27, 2006

This is my second stabila torpedo level and I just can't see using anything else. With its magnetic edge, it a great 3rd hand (so to speak) in tight spots.

super strong magnets Dec 01, 2009
By David Lazar The magnets on this thing are pretty darn strong. The bubbles are easy to see. I've dropped this thing from up to 30 feet in the air several times and it's still level. Best torpedo level on the market.

By K. M. Kemp great little level. there is no comparison as far as craftsmanship and construction are concerned to the junk you'll find at your local warehouse. the magnets are extremely strong. i'll probably have this for the rest of my life
