Great for remodellng Sep 29, 2006
By J. Matthew Good I bought some of these (at a higher price I might add) last fall before tearing out my bathroom. Used them in the 5 gallon "quiet" model shop vac that I got from Ace Hardware on sale last fall when my 2 Gallon model burned out. They keep the inside of the vac canister completely clean, and no drywall dust getting through the filter or around the rubberband. I left the foam filter on, just in case... It stayed completely clean as well. The specs indicate these bags would also be okay for cleaning up spilled copier toner, something that most vac bags or filters will just spew back into the air. And they seem to take a long time to fill up or plug up.
At the 9.99 Amazon price I just ordered three more packs.

Wish I knew about these years ago Oct 25, 2011

This product is a god-send. For years I've been buying the bag/sheets over the foam filter. I've dealt with the dust that always puffs out of the exhaust of the vacuum after hitting the one switch. I recently lost my sister and used her shop-vac to clean her apartment, I was impressed that it never shot any dust out the exhaust...Until I went to empty it and found that it had a bag like these. I have sense replaced ALL three of my shop-vacs (all different sizes, for different jobs) with this bag system, which is a lot better than the bag/sheet over the filter. It still require the foam sleeve, but it works soooo much better. The only thing that my sister shop-vac had that I have yet to purchase for my other shop-vacs is a corrugated filter (kind of like a car filter). I will say that I feel better using her vac in the house because it has power and has an excellent filter system. I only wish I knew about these type of bags and how much better they work than what can with the shop-vac. No more turning the vacuum on outside then bringing it inside to avoid the dust cloud settling on my stuff. If you are not using these bags in your shop-vac, you should be! :)

Does what it's supposed to do... Apr 02, 2010
By R. Ellis For anyone who has ever tried to use theit Shop Vac to clean up firewood ash, drywall dust, or other fine powder only to find more dust spread over the room than in the vacuum, this will do the trick. They work flawlessly. If there's a downside, it is that they are smaller than the tank and fill up way faster... of course, there is the fact that, unlike the tank alone with fine powder, they do fill up! :)

Great for pellet stoves Mar 07, 2010
By Arif Demirel I use these bags in my shop vac to suck up the ash in my pellet stove. The fine dust of wood pellets is something that most filter bags will just release back into the air, and this bag traps every thing. You can practically eat off the inside of the shop vac! Great product, and a must have to clean out your pellet stove without getting the ash everywhere in your home. (p.s. make sure the stove is cold when vacuuming ash)
