Excellent Tie Down Dec 23, 2008
By S.M.
"scottlydude"
These are great. I used a pair to tie down the "Highland 20052 Superfit Bar Carrier" (see my review there), and it worked perfectly. The ratchet is not oversized like those I saw in the store. The strap is 1-inch wide. The endless loops prevent twists and stress on edge of strap which is good. I'm using the straps to hold a 100-pound max cargo carrier on a car rack, so I'm not using the straps anywhere near their fullest limit of the recommended 500 pounds (1/3 of rated capacity).
Use for hammocks Mar 22, 2008
By S. Marcus wrap these in a lace pattern to secure our hammocks while camping. a loop tied in the middle to extend it away from the tree makes 12 feet the perfect length to attach to an average sized pine.
