5Excellent portable compressor  Nov 20, 2006 By R. Lee
Well built of mostly metal contruction. Inflates faster then any other 12v cigarette lighter powered compressor I've used while also being quieter and with less vibration. The best you can get in this price range. The only minor annoyance is the air hose must be detached to store in the supplied storage bag and reattached prior to each use. Note that its bigger brother the MF-1050 (MV50) is much more powerful, but must be connected directly to the battery as it draws far more current.

3Finicky?  Sep 14, 2007 By Idoru69
I was attracted by the reasonable price of this item. Like some other reviewers, the first time I tried to use it, the unit blew the fuse out on the minivan. It did work when I plugged it into another car, but what a hassle... Also, the cord is stiff, making it difficult to stretch to the full length. So a quirky little product with some value -- purchasing again, I would go for a larger, sturdier unit.

5Excellent 12-volt compressor  Jan 07, 2007 By Ray
Very pleased with this item - I was able to top off all four of my wife's SUV tires from 25 PSI to the recommended 29 PSI in under ten minutes (including checking tire pressures, moving the compressor around, etc.)

This runs on 12-volt power from your vehicle's cigarette lighter outlet. Very easy to use - assemble the compressor and hose using the quick-attach fittings, then screw the brass connector on the other end of the hose onto the tire valve stem. Plug in the power connector, turn the car key to the "accessories" position, and switch on the compressor.

Very readable air pressure gauge, and fairly accurate to within 1-2 PSI (compared to my handheld tire pressure gauge.) Stores neatly in a black nylon carry bag with two compartments - one for the compressor, the other for the air hose and attachments for beach balls, basketballs, footballs, etc.

I highly recommend this solidly-built compressor.

4Worth the price...  Feb 18, 2007 By Rusty
This compressor is better than one would expect for its selling price. It does the job admirably. It does not rattle as I expected it to. Feels pretty solid and sturdy. Hopefully, it will last awhile. NO...it does not pump air as fast as the coin-operated ones at the service station. But you don't have to rush trying to fill up all your tires before time runs out. The case is a very nice touch also.

4Worth the money if expections not too high.  Feb 10, 2008 By C. Bryant
I had the same problem as some others have had because I plugged into the cigarette lighter instead of the accessory plug as the instructions suggest. The cigarette lighter blew the fuse almost immediately but not the other plug in. Worked fine until work completed. Do not expect fast work for filling all tires. On my F250 the tires call for 80# pressure and all four were down to around 65#. Once I got the little compressor plugged into the right recepticle it took about 8 minutes per tire to get the pressure up to 80#. Could be faster, but great for the money. Lightweight. Doesn't take much space. Easy to handle. Works for me.
