The support you need. Jan 30, 2010
By Robert Speirs As a server, I carry heavy trays around for 8 hours a day. I also have to bus tables that come in all heights. Bending over and standing back up with heavy trays and maneuvering around the dining room with them really used to put a strain on my back, so I bought one of these.
I haven't had a problem since and know that when I get older, I will thank myself for taking care of my back now.

Very good for what it is Oct 01, 2009

I have a bad back and this helps prevent back soreness and strain. It can be worn over or under clothing and fits a 32" (and probably a 34") waist or smaller. It is a big help with my posture when using a compute for long periods which is a problem for me.
It provides a light support for the back but isn't in the same league as the leather or heavy support belts for construction or weight lifting (or cost or discomfort either).
Can be a little fussy to adjust and I find the suspenders to be a determent which is why it gets a 4 (even if you remove the suspenders it is fussy to adjust).
Comfortable Feb 02, 2012
By Akil My back gets thrown out every now and again. I do some heavy lifting in my job and hadn't been using any support. Now I strap on the Proflex everytime I anticipate I might be lifting or moving anything with some weight on it. In others words I wear it everyday before I go to work. It is very comfortable and there are triple velco fastners to hold the support in place. It can be adjusted with straps to fit firmly. In the back, there are reinforcements that don't pinch or bind. For the price, it can't be beat. Very economical. I will probably be buying another one for back up.

By Lawrence Wegeman, Jr. I don't use the shoulder straps, just cinch the back support around my waist. It definitely provides back support. It shrinks a little when washed.

Support Belt Sep 29, 2008
By MAC I purchased this wide belt to hold an ice pack in place in the lumbar area. It works great both reclining in a chair and lying down in bed. I have worn it for working in the yard, but find it a bit cumbersome for wearing and sitting upright for any length of time. But for what I wanted it for and for the cost I got it at, I am satisfied.
