3good price, not great bits  Jul 11, 2010
I just wanted to comment on this "not-walking" tip that it advertises. I just think about that frequently while the bit is walking around.

5Great versatile set of bits  Jun 17, 2010
I use this for my model airplane hobby.

Two things I really like about this setup is the swing out drill holders and also the fact that they have two of the small drill sizes because these are the ones you will break eventually but will already have a back up to continue what you are working on.

Just be careful removing and replacing the bigger bits as they are in the holder rather tight and a slip along the bit will cut you.

4Good value  Apr 11, 2010
As a Handyman Contractor, I go through a lot of drill bits. This set is a good value. I agree with one reviewer that the small ones break easily. But then again, I've never seen smaller bits that did not break if you don't keep your drill straight.

I have tried more expensive bits and they do last longer but eventually wear out. For the money, these are my favorites. My only complaint about titanium coated bits is that they are difficult to sharpen on a Drill Doctor.

I also like the drill index and carrying case. As long as I am careful to put them back, they are always where they need to be. I also like the size selection. Most small sets don't come with a 1/2" bit.

5Great drill bits.  Jan 16, 2010
As a construction professional, I demand the utmost from my tools. Tools that do not perform when you need them are worthless. This drill bit set has a handy, rugged, and compact case to keep the bits organized and sharp, which they are, very sharp. The smaller sizes are duplicated, (i.e. 1/8" and lower sizes have 2) which is helpful since they are typically the ones that get broken most often. You get a back up bit right out of the box! Very nice! The only thing that would have made it better for me would be having 2 1/4" bits, but that's just because that is the most common size I tend to drill. All in all a very terrific set. Highly recommend.

3other reviews a bit hyped  Jan 10, 2010
basically the drill bits were slow to burr through 1/2 inch plywood and then a doug fir 2 / 4, and two of them snapped without much effort. At least they were cheap
