5Versatile Stubby Driver  Nov 04, 2008 By Gary Peterson
I recently upgraded my modest screw driver collection considerably. Now I can tackle a much greater variety of possible situations. But, no matter how many drivers you might have there's always the situation where the screw driver is too long to fit into the limited space. A special stubby driver is needed. I've got one stubby screw driver, but it's only for slot-head screws and the handle is too small in diameter to get a good grip.

Here's a handy little stubby driver that might work in a great variety of situations. It comes with a half-dozen bits stored in the handle. The bits are made such that two different bits are on the opposite ends of a single shaft, so you really have 12 different bits. Plus, the bits from my drill and another driver also fit, albeit somewhat loosely. That gives me a real good versatility that will handle a wide variety of types and sizes of screws in limited-space situations. The handle is nicely designed and affords a good grip. The driver can be easily set to ratchet forward or backwards. I won't use this driver very often, but it should prove handy when I do.
