5Safety Measure -- Product Excellence  Jun 01, 2008 By L. Pape
"Mousing" a hook "As A Rule" -- a hook should always be moused as a safety measure to prevent a tie down from coming off. If the load shifts a little and the tie down slacks up, the spring clamps on these hooks keep the tie down in place. With an open hook, the tie down can fall away and the load can come loose. On the highway, these straps are a must! I'm glad to find these because they are still rare in the marketplace. I won't buy open-hook tie downs anymore.

4Good Tie Down Strap  Apr 13, 2012 By Project Guy "Project Guy"
I use this on the inside of my SUV or if I put something on the roof rack. This is a light-duty strap and should be used as such. It works well for securing lumber on the inside or something light on the roof. This is not a ratching clamp so you will not be able to get it super tight, but it works well for lighter items.

The shorter length is also nice as it stores easily and does not leave you with endless material. Great for securing a stack of 2x4's together on the inside but I would not trust it to secure them alone on the roof.

4Misleading description  Mar 02, 2012 By Paul J. Kimball "Paulie"
The product description for this item suggests there are 2 straps, even the title of the product says "Tie Downs with...", you in fact only receive one. Seems dishonest to me.
I only ordered 2 of these, thinking I would have a total of 4 straps, of course I only get 2 straps, which leaves me a few straps short.
I'm not sure what action to take, I am probably going to lodge a complaint with Amazon.

The strap, cam, and hooks appear to be of good quality.

Update:
I contacted Amazon, Chandra helped me, she and I have provided feedback to the Amazon team. So they should be altering the description and title of this product to more precisely indicate the quantity as one.
Hope this helps.
