Great for HVAC Mar 05, 2007
By Etrabby Tensioner works fine. I prefer this type to the self-cutting, you have more control over how tight the strap will be before you cut it.
best tool for the money Aug 29, 2010

MALCO TY4G HVAC tie tensioning tool Dec 09, 2009
By Gary London Great product!! I replaced all of the flex-duct in our home this past weekend, and this tool did an outstanding job. I'm using it in a home environment, not professionally, so I can't speak abnout long-term durability. For my purposes it was excellent, and the price was great. Thanks!

this tool is great for limited acces areas. I use it to tight the car terminal boots. I recomend it if you usually use this kind of plastic ties. Works for most sizes
Good but watch out for the grips Oct 07, 2009

I have owned several Tensioning Tie tools by Malco. I liked the grips as they make a model without them that sometimes pinches your hand. The tie cutter eventually gets dull and nearly impossible to sharpen, but that is true for all of these type tools. I finally glued the grips on the tool as they get loose over time. I use the tool at work which is why I have owned many types including the automatic one. This is a good tool and does the job.
