5Awsome Cordless Equipment  Feb 25, 2010
Makita continues to impress me with it's cordless 18V equipment. I have the drill kit that came with 2 1.5Ah batteries so when I purchased the BTD181 impact driver I felt I needed a third battery for when 2 people are using tools at the same time.

This 3.0Ah battery seems to never need to be recharged. It holds it's charge for a very long time. Working on small projects I still prefer the 1.5Ah battery due to weight but a drill or impact driver with the BL1830 is still very light weight.

5The BEST  Feb 17, 2010
I use these battery a lot and it keep doing GREAT job!!
I will recommend to all my friends to buy this kind.

5as expected  Feb 03, 2010
The issue is price. I got a good price w/ shipping included. My old 1.5 AH batteries that came w/ my impact and drill are tired.

5Battery for Makita tools  Jan 31, 2010
I found this battery to be excellent as it was received. Of course, the real test will be, how long does it last?

4battery saving hints  Jan 28, 2010
I own 6 different 18 volt makita tools, from experience I found out its best not to store the tool with the battery connected, because if the trigger gets activated while its in your tool bag or whatever and runs down to nothing , and beyond it will not ever recharge again I learned this the hard way when my drill trigger got pushed into the on position accidently . Also batteries (all types) do not like the cold. so if you live in a cold climate such as I
(9,000 ft elevation) in the colorado rockies keep your batteries in a warm area. At least above freezing temps, you will get a much longer life out of your batteries. By the way, if you buy a two pack of 18 volt makita batteries from amazon, you will pay more than if you purchase two (2) single batteries. It dont make sense, but it is true. Hope this info helps.
