4nice, thick, buffing pad . . .  Sep 23, 2009 By trebe
This is a reasonably priced, good quality, seven inch diameter, wool buffing and polishing pad. It is pretty thick and deep, and has a 3/4 inch diameter hole in the middle. The pad is designed to be secured by the hook and loop system. `Hook and loop' is a generic term for Velcro type fastening. One advantage of hook and loop is that you can change pads quickly.

If you have concerns about the reliability of hook and loop, the system is reasonably secure. The `hooks' on your buffing wheel, need to be in good condition, and not damaged or bent up. The `loops' are the fuzzy part on the back of the pad. Push the pad and wheel together, and give them a little twist to make sure there is a good `bite'. Test run the buffer at low speed and see how it feels. If it seems secure, you can gradually increase the speed and pressure.

5Excellent product  Jan 25, 2008 By R. Lee
Good for applying and removing wax. It gets saturated after a while, so it's a good idea to have extra spares while waxing your car.

5great  Oct 26, 2010 By DEERMAN
it does take some time for the buffing wheel to "debuff" the pad. After all the loose wool flies off this thing is great. well worth the $

5thick!  Dec 05, 2011 By JHN
this is a very thick, wool pad for polishing. i bought two, one for the rubbing compound and one for the polishing compound. the wool goes over the edges, which is extremely important in not gouging the surface. they tend to shed some wool if you hit anything that projects from the surface, but i think any pad would do the same.
i used these on my boat hulls with excellent results. they wash out easily by hand and dry fluffy for the next use. well worth the money!

5Good item but foam is better  Oct 10, 2011 By A_G
This is a good product, it's much wider than the backing pad to allow use at an angle as well as more surface area. The wool is thick and cuts well. About the only draw back to this is that it will throw off A LOT of lint, at least with the first use. This is common with wool pads though. I don't regret this purchase at all, but think that I will use foam next time to save myself the mess of all that lint. Made in USA
