Not the best of klein stripper multitool Oct 04, 2010
By Tyler Brothersen Being an electrician i have used these for about 3 years. The pliers on the tip work ok, and the strippers themselves are ok but klein make alot better strippers than these. The bolt cutters would have to be the best part of these by far they work exactly what you want. The crimpers just don't work very well. You have to put alot a pressure on them to be able to crimp anything, and even after that the insulation can fall off.
So my recomendation is if you are going to use these alot by something else. But if you will use these very rarely they will last and will get the job done.

The right tool for the right job. Aug 13, 2010

Guys... Head's up.... "Good-Stuff" alert!
We've ALL used the el-cheapo wire strippers. You know, the "big" looking ones with yellow handles you get for $3? Yeah, those.
Well, I want to take the time to tell you that these Klein strippers are the real deal. I kid thee not.
Look, no one WANTS to spend a bunch of money on a tool. I'm no different.
But let me tell ya, I used those el-cheapo strippers for DECADES, and one day on somone's STRONG suggestion, I got this exact set of wire stippers for an important home project.
Oh my god. It's like heaven.
I've had mine for I'm thinking 4 years now.
They get constant use because I have an electronics hobby now, so I do a lot of soldering.
To make a long story short, if you've ever stripped wires with a razor, a knife, those big junky wire strippers, or heaven forbid your TEETH (yeah, we've all done that too) you'll understand,...
THESE wire strippers work EXACTLY like you WISH they would. You select the appropriate orafice size, gently close the tool on the insulation, give a little tug, and perfectly stripped wires emerge, EFFORTLESLY, every single time. They are precisely built and machined of excellent material. WHAT a difference.
No more torn, stretched insulation, no more crunching 4 or 5 precious strands of cooper along with the insulation.
It's a precise, quality tool, that WORKS. It also has STRONG snips and a GOOD crimper.
You've got my word on it.

Very handy tool and good quality Dec 02, 2009
By Dr Zero I found my self having to due quite a bit of re wiring when I got my first arcade machine and my old crimper strippers were not up to task so I went looking and found these.
Now these are not cheap nor are they inexpensive but most things in life worth keeping aren't.
The end or nose of the crimpers is serrated so you can use them like a pair of needle nose and the stripper portion covers a good range of wire sizes.
Handles are comfortable but not too thick, overall fit and finish was good on the set I received.
This tool would be at home in the tool box of the home handyman the mechanic or the arcade/mame/byoac enthusiast in your life.
And lastly these are made in the USA!

Klein, a Class Act Sep 18, 2008
By non entity me Klein products are top of the line, and will outlast the original purchaser. Pay the extra, you'll be rewarded with years of use.
great tool May 31, 2010
By N. Reed This is the most important electrical tool after a tester. You'll find it does the work of 3 or 4 specialty pliers.
If you have the use for a wire stripper, this is the only one to have. It's got all the most popular gage strippers and will satisfy most of your crimping needs too. The needle nose plier and cutter set-up is really useful and I don't know how many times I've used the all the small screw/bolt cutters.
These pliers are made well, are nice to use and do a ton of work. Well worth the money.
