Product is nicely made and works well. I used them to hold down a heavyweight motorcycle on a trailer from Delaware to NY. They did not require any tightening. The design allows you to wrap the nylon strap around the handle bar (or frame) which prevents marring of the finish from a typical coated metal hook.

I recently upgraded to a larger motorcycle (770 pounds) and thought it was a good idea to get heavier straps. I like that these are the `sling-type' - no plastic covered hooks around the handlebars.

I also like the large handles on the ratchet assemblies - you can really crank these things down. With just the two straps on the handlebars I gave the bike a wiggle - the whole trailer rocked with it. We did a 2000 mile round-trip with no issues. We even lost a trailer tire tread at 80 mph. No blowout, but things were rocking for a few seconds. Absolutely no issues with the security of the bike.

I would definitely buy these again.

The best insurance you'll ever buy and tailor made for strapping down with handle bars! You won't need any soft straps or other straps with these and the heavy duty breaking capacity will give many years of worry free towing!

Ive been leery of other strap systems that have just the hook, and loosen a little bit during tie down and transport. The carabiner style hook gave me peace of mind during transport and even though I drove several hours in the rain, the straps did not loosen at all. Very solid and secure.
