5Good Quality  Jul 24, 2009 By Thomas C. Goggans "tcg"
Very Good Product, ratchets are compact yet strong and well constructed, and the padded handles are superb. Many inexpensive ratchet strap sets are just crap, but these are great. The strapping is a good thick size (1500lb break strength), suitable for most heavy duty work, though for really heavy equipment I would recommend something even stronger. I have used this moving furniture and appliances. I have used these to secure a canoe to the top of a minivan, truck, and sedan, all driving on the highway at interstate speed with brilliant success.

5Great for household use  Apr 09, 2010 By C. Courter
I purchased this for household use. I didn't realize there were 4 (I didn't read the description too clearly it would appear), so was surprised when I got them.

I used them to secure a flat screen tv to a base. We had the old box style tvs, and the cats would lay on them. Anticipating a problem (and preventing one from actually breaking) with the cats climbing up on the tvs, I wanted to find a secure system. My dad had 2 of these (different brand, style, and much older) that I used until I received these. His were hard to unlatch, and kind of cumbersome.

These came in, and I figured all of these items were the same. Not so. I was able to secure both tv's in a matter of minutes. It was easy to adjust the length as needed. I was able to tighten them quite tightly. I figured, at the time, that worst case scenario, I could cut it off because it was that tight. My fathers were very difficult to remove for that reason.

One of the tv's actually had to be returned, because it quit working. So I had to unlatch it, and with this product it was very easy. I was able to unlatch it with one hand, and I'm actually not all that strong.

And, two cats have tried to climb (jump) onto the top of the flat screen tv, and the tv didn't wiggle at all, so it holds tight.

I gave the other 2 that I didn't use to my dad and brother, and they enjoyed it, having nice ones to use.

Overall, I recommend this product, even for household use.

5Awesome  Aug 04, 2009 By J.T.
I was so impressed with these! Totally worth the $20 I spent. They easily held down a sofa and a full sized mattress in the back of a pick-up truck for 200 miles on the highway. I might even trust them if I had tied the mattress to a roof rack.

3Thin strap  Feb 28, 2011 By Gregory A. Coleman "GCOLE"
Straps are very thin. Easy to cut. Ran strap through hitch on atv, drove 7 miles and strap was cut.
