This Tool is Junk May 30, 2004
By Fred Mathews I wouldn't buy this tool again because it's impossible to cut drywall quickly using it. It doesn't slide alone the edge of the drywall very well. And the tool is only useful for making cuts up to 12 inches. Beyond 12 inches the tool doesn't work very well. Additional, I was expecting the tool to be much lighter. Wheels would have solved some of the problems with the tool but the manufacturer forgot to provide them. Save yourself some time and trouble. Hire a license contractor if you have to and buy a real T-square!

Decent tool Feb 29, 2004 The square could have used some kind of rollers on it to make it easier to slide along the drywalls edge. But it works quite well just the same. The 1/16 in. Graduated Slots make measuring easyand fast.

Accurate and quick cuts Mar 14, 2007
By M. Haddad The Rock Ripper T-Square makes cutting drywall a snap. It worked so well when ripping drywall sheets that I would never recommend hanging drywall without it. It slides on the long edge of the drywall sheet allowing you to score the sheet lengthwise to cut it. It helped me make very accurate cuts with some of them not even a couple of inches wide. To cut a narrow strip accurately, score both sides of the sheet using the same notch and snap the piece off. It snaps extremely cleanly and hardly needs any filing.

Worth it's weight in gold! Jan 31, 2002

I use this tool more than any other when I am hanging drywall. It allows you to quickly and exactly 'rip' drywall. Quicker and easier than a chalk line. I gave mine to my brother, who is adding a second floor, before I knew how hard it was to replace.

straight horizontal-crooked vertical Dec 26, 2004
By P. Apsey This tool works fine on long rip cuts even though it is not square. It is the vertical cuts, my ripper is 1/8" off in it's 24" length. That adds up to mistakes. Hold tool firmly on edge of drywall or it will ride up on you. Alittle pricey for it's quality.
