Good Tool Feb 06, 2009

Good tool. Fits in your hands well. Just make sure you don't squeeze too hard or you will cut the wire. There is a little dial you can turn on the side to limit how far you can squeeze. It has a little tab that you can use to keep the tool closed. If I could suggest an improvement, it would be to somehow limit how far the tool opens. I'm still getting used to it, but sometimes it opens too far and I have to reposition it in my hand. Small annoyance, but overall very good tool. I would definitely recommend it.

Useful well-made product. Jun 02, 2008
By Timothy W. Anderson These are very handy for use with small wires in the 18-22 gage range. They're very sturdy, and I am happy to own them. They also work as well as my other larger wire strippers on larger wires up to 12 gage without any trouble. I've not had a need to use them on wires larger than 12 gage, but I expect they will work well even then. Their well-made, small convenient design makes these a very useful tool.

Great 5-Inch Wire Stripper and Cutter Jun 08, 2011
By Aldemir Fawcett I am electrician, I know about cutters and pliers. My humblest opinion about this tool:
- Excellent price (really cheap). - Excellent quality (cheap does not mean "Bad quality"). - The materials are excellent. - Not difficult to handle (you do not need to be a professional to use this tool). - Very sharp!!. - Great for the shop. - Easy to adjust. - It have a lock to keep the stripper closed and safe (to prevent accidents). - The size is excellent for a wire stripper.
I recommend this tool as a five stars tool!!

Perfect wire stripper Dec 04, 2010

Light, inexpensive and well constructed wire stripper. Easy to use and gets the job done without any fuss. Don't waste your money on "automatic" wire strippers.

Cheap, handy wire stripper Feb 28, 2011
By E. Perkins

This is not a heavy duty wire stripper, but it feels well made and strips the wire as it should. I used these to strip speaker wire for my house. I used the setting wheel to set to 14 gauge and it worked fine. The only thing I would change is making the setting wheel notched or lock into place, because sometimes when I would set it down the setting wheel would turn so I'd have to adjust again.
