This welder is just what I wanted. While it would have been nice to have a DC capable machine, this one is more than fine for any utility, maintenance, fabrication or repair work on most any steel that you will find. Just select a rod to match the job, and let the sparks fly.
MADE IN THE USA, kinda speaks for its self there.
Big copper coils in the transformer and a large cooling fan. I expect this one to last a long time.
With a little skill this welder will stick just about anything together. I would 100% buy this one again given the choice.

I bought this welder for my shop,I fabricate hardtails for harley davidson and various other motorcycles,This welder is absolutely amazing on everything from cold roll to DOM steel.It takes a bit of practice to figure out the settings and heat ranges of said various settings on different types of metal but makes unbelievably strong welds,I bent a piece of .125 DOM steel tubing into a horseshoe shape in my bench vice before cracking the weld.Absolutely the best bang for the buck.

I had been looking for welders I found This Hobart 205 on Amazon for a great price and with free shipping I could not pass it up. although I wasn't ready to purchase right now I had not seen a new not (refurbished) unit for this price
It was a good deal for a respected brand.
