57 years strong.  May 20, 2011 By Bane
I bought this knife when I was 16 for my birthday, I am now 22. I have used this knife heavily from working to prying to carving and I can honestly say I have only had to sharpen this knife maybe 5x's at the most. Its lasted me over 7 years strong. Definitely recommend this knife.

52 years still going strong  Apr 19, 2011 By Rhea Allen
I have had this little knife for over 2 years and the blade and grip still have integrity. Rubber grips are still firmly attached. Belt clip is a little loose now and the coating on the blade is worn (after multiple uses on a daily basis). Overall, the best pocket knife I have ever owned and that's saying allot seeing how I bought mine at Walmart.

4Great knife for the price.  Feb 29, 2012 By Evan Windom "EvanW"
I've carried this little folder for years, and it's still a favorite. It takes an edge pretty well, but doesn't hold it for as long as I'd like. For the price, though, it's more than adequate. I use it for all kinds of things, and find it especially useful for things like caping game. As other reviewers have observed, with a little use the knife will break in beautifully, opening with a flick of the wrist and locking securely. I recently lost mine and bought a nice Benchmade at five times the price to get the better steel. As Murphy's law would dictate, I found my lost Gerber the day the new Benchmade arrived. So I've kept them both. The BM has great steel and a scary sharp edge, but this little Gerber will always be a go-to tool for me. I do wish the blade release wasn't in the blade channel.

5Great work knife  Apr 20, 2012 By Diamonddog
Exactly what I expected... sharp hard blade... great for cutting heavy twine, cardboard, wire... knife has good weight to it...GREAT FOR THE WORKPLACE

5best knife for the money  Mar 28, 2012 By donald e baker
I bought two of these knives, one to keep and one to give away. Already had the gerber AR3.00 which is also a great value for a small pocket knife. The 3.5 is medium size, good for work or everyday carry. The 3.0 may be too small for serious work. Sharp, good looking, strong knives.
