4Pleasantly Surprised...  Oct 12, 2008 By Aaron
I killed my first deer today! I have had this knife for 2 or so years and never used it for skinning or gutting anything until today. I was quite impressed with how easy it made gutting the deer, especially for a total newbie, and the skinning aspect was great as well. The only con I can think of was that partway through skinning the deer I had to re-hone the blade as it was getting pretty dull. But for <$15 this was a great knife to have on hand and I would recommend it to anybody looking for something of this genre.

5Causes less fatigue and holds a nice edge  Nov 27, 2010 By R. Cottrell
I skin at least one large animal a year. Last year, it was a mule deer and by the time I was done, my forearm felt like it was going to fall off from holding the knive in awkward positions throughout the skinning process. My buddy lent me his gerber 22 knife and it made all the difference in the world. I skinned one recently using this and it worked really well and my arm didnt want to fall off. My buddy says it has held the edge really well.

2Good idea, needs crafstmanship, looks cool though  Jan 26, 2012 By Johnny B
Some dude in the Orient stamped out some mild grade steel and unevenly ground a good shallow edge (less that 10 degree bevel is my guess) then it got plastic molded to it's handle and 'presto' out comes a good idea waiting for better materials. I thought the design was fairly intuitive and seems to lend itself to some skinning and fleshing out of game. The T-handle gives you a fair amount of push and pull strength, which is where the stars come from in my review. The knife sits nicely in its shealth - much like a handcuff case in size and weight. It packs nice and safely in this manner, so I dropped it into my hunting day-pack. I wouldn't buy this again, but I would get the similar Gerber bone saw - great handle design for that use.

5Amazing knife-a MUST HAVE!  Nov 30, 2011 By Martin J. Edwards
This knife is amazing! I bought this knife earlier this year because I have been processing my own game for the last two years and thought this might help speed up the skinning process. I've never owned or used a skinning knife before. For a low priced knife, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice look to it and the handle is very comfortable. The case is very functional as well. It's nice that you can put it on your belt, but I just throw it in a zippered pocket in my harness pack. This knife is not just good for skinning! I used it to quarter my whole elk this year(I was too lazy to go back to camp to get the rest of my knives). It worked amazingly! Cutting out the backstraps and tenderloins- not a problem! The gut hook is a nice addition too. It works very well, just isn't as easy to sharpen when needed. All in all, you can't go wrong with this knife. It's a great addition to any hunters gear.
