I really didn't expect much for the price of this knife, but boy was I surprised. I knew Gerber knives were well made, but this baby is one of the nicest knives I have ever bought and I have owned a few high priced custom combat knives, and this knife at 1/10 the price, compares favorably to the custom knives. There isn't another knife made at this price, as far as I am concerned, that will compare to the Gerber Steadfast in quality and craftsmanship. Five stars...hands down, a real keeper!

This is a camping great knife, it's very strong and now Gerber has updated the handle to take more wear and tear from day to day use.

A great knife, everything you would need in a camping knife. The blade is big but not overly so, The blade is thick and sturdy, it doesn't look or feel like it will break the first time you abuse it by using it to pry, break or use in another manner knives are generally not designed for. The handle allows a strong, tight grip and is somewhat slip resistant.

The Sheath is better than the majority of sheathes out there. It would in my opinion been perfect if they had added a couple of molle straps to fasten to the outside of a backpack waistband. It does its job though and I will be able to make it work for my needs.

All in all truly a 5 star knife and a 4 star sheath. For the price point I was not expecting what I got, happily I got twice the knife for half the price.
