It works and is easy to use Oct 27, 2002

Rate a protractor? Sure, when it's worth admitting that it's a good tool. It's easy to read and easy to use. The knurled tightening knob really secures the angle. I've used it on a few projects and have been happy with it. What else is there to say about a simple tool? It does what it's supposed to.

Good quality easy to read numbers and fine resolution. Be aware that this only measures outside angles and not inside angles which was what I needed it for.

Good Protractor Nov 07, 2011
By Michael Cadonic I needed a protractor like this to measure guitar peg-head angles. I was about to buy this from Amazon when I found the same exact one at Ace Hardware for a few dollars less. There's a more expensive brand out there but the General Tools version works just fine. I would recommend this protractor to anyone needing one.

Very similar to their No. 17 protractor. Both are easy to use; well marked, and well made. Knurled knob sets the marker exactly where you want and it holds the angle. Stainless steel. Expect to be able to use this a long time. Would buy again.
