Usually ships in 1 business days | | | | | | Duck Brand Hold-It For Rugs is a patented non-slip latex foam coated with an adhesive backing on one side. It is designed to keep your rigs and mats in place without any floor damage. Hold-It For Rugs is repositionable and works on all types of flooring surfaces including vinyl, tile, hardwood and laminate. Do not use this product if putting a rug or mat down on top of existing carpeting. Since the foam side is going down on top of your flooring (the adhesive side bonds to the rug or mat) it will not leave an adhesive residue behind like some double-sided tapes would. Hold-It For Rugs Installation Directions: The floor surface must be clean and dry. Measure and cut 'Hold-It For Rugs' to fit the outline of the rug or mat being held in place. Remove the release liner from the foam and apply the exposed liner side to the rug or mat. Press rug down firmly in place. Widths shown in dropdown are in inches. | | | |

Surprisingly Great Mar 02, 2008
By Kevin Nicholson I was very apprehensive buying this product, as I've never had success with rug holders or the Duck brand. When I pulled it out of the box, I was even more sure that it wouldn't work at all. But three weeks later, that rug hasn't moved an inch. The tape even holds it in place when our 50 pound puppy runs through the house and stops on it. It used to be that rug would slide 5 feet when he stopped on it...now it doesn't budge. I've come back to buy 3 more packages for rugs throughout the rest of the house. Fantastic product!

Great Product Dec 11, 2007
By Nicola This product worked great to keep my carpets from moving, but I could also move them when I needed to clean the hardwood floor. Would definitely use again.

Fantastic Rug Gripper - - But..... Jun 09, 2009
By dream factory 'Henkel/Duck' makes a great line of effective rug gripping tape. The tape consists of a strip of durable latex foam. One side is adhesive. The reverse floor side has that patented foam. This combo works perfectly to keep your area rug right where you put it. No sliding. No bunching up. No wrinkling.
We have it on a 25 x 3 foot long runner on a tile floor. And some large sized area rugs on a hard wood floor. For over 10 months this product has kept them right where I put them.
But....... Watch which one you buy. They come in a wide variety of sizes and lenghs. The one sold here is great for a small area rug. But you have to find the 6'x25" monster strips for your longer rugs.
We tried various other rug gripping products with much frustration. The double sided ones just don't hold up after a few months because they attract dust that clings to the floor oriented side and defeats the grip. Amazingly this foam is also repositionable. So you can clean under that area and reposition it without problems. . . .vous avez fini!

holds down the rug Nov 19, 2011

This product hold downs the rug as described. Our problem was a corner that kept curving/rolling up on our hardwood floor. Adding this to the corner helped stop that. warning: your hands will smell like this for the rest of the day.

Probably good for small sizes May 24, 2011
By StrayLa I got this to hold down a long runner (17 feet) at one end. The runner was catching at the end whenever a door opened, and I thought this would provide enough tack to stop this from occurring. It did hold down the one end very well. However, the pull of the rug from the other, un-anchored 15 feet caused the end where I used it to move and lose its grip. So, I would say (and I believe this is what the manufacturer recommends) that you will definitely need to use it under the majority of the rug you're trying to hold down.
It definitely did not damage the floor in any way -- no stickiness from adhesive residue. So, for a small rug (12 by 22 inches or so) this is probably ideal.
