I have 2 large area rugs, one that shifts frequently and the other only occasionally (5x7 and 8x12 respectively). I didn't really expect such a hold from the tape, but these rugs don't budge a centimeter! I placed 1 long strip of tape along the short sides of each rug. Now whether or not the tape will hold for a long period of time or do any damage to the wood floor...well I just have to wait and find out. In the meantime I'm extremely pleased.

This double sided tape is very strong and durable. Its adhesive holds for a very long time. I put up several posters in my room with it and they have all stayed on without any problems at all. Keeps my walls hole free, and keeps the posters up.

This tape is pretty good stuff. But you can walk into any Wal-Mart and get it for less than $5.oo and no shipping charge.

I use this tape a lot. Home Depot doesn't seem to have it anymore and I can't find it at Walmart. This seller has a great price and ships quickly.

Says on the back it is only for permanent installation of carpet, and 'may' leave residue. I was looking for something to secure an area rug, but don't want residue. Disappointed in the information provided.
