Nice sunglasses Aug 16, 2009
By T. Fisher I use these simply as sunglasses, not as safety glasses, since I have an office job and am not all that handy in my free time. I like the mirrored look, and the wraparound style offers protection against dust or debris when biking and running.
More importantly, it's hard to trust cheap sunglasses to give UV protection these days. All glasses say they give protection, but there are plenty of cases of fraud with those little "UV protected" stickers they put on lenses. These glasses have polycarbonate lenses, and according to multiple medical sources, polycarbonate by its very nature filters out UVA and UVB. Great!
In addition, I make the perhaps naive assumption that as a producer of industrial safety equipment manufactured according to ANSI standards, Dewalt must go through some kind of testing and maybe even certification process. If it is found to be selling products that don't meet ANSI standards (which include UV, by the way), Dewalt would face a severe market backlash from its core industrial consumers, since faulty safety equipment could expose them to millions of dollars in liability in case of accidents. This means I have a lot more confidence in these glasses than I do in the cheap sunglass stand on the corner -- or even the cheap sunglasses at all those big chain drugstores.
Finally, I also like the cheap price with super saver shipping. A winner all around! I just wish they had more mirrored designs.

Superior anti-glare protection. I use them as sunglasses and this is my second pair. The first pair just suffered from my constant use.

These glasses are very comfortable and light. These will be my new cycling glasses so I do not mess up my expensive sunglasses. I just ordered another pair.
