A Good Starter Set Mar 12, 2009
By Joe You really can't beat this product's quality for the reasonable price. I did a lot of research on comparable bit sets and I finally settled on this one. Since this is my first set of router bits, I didn't want to pay the high prices that you see at Lowes or Home Depot. Granted, those bits are high quality, but I wasn't ready to drop $30-$40 per bit. This set turned out to be a great alternative. The bits are very good quality, I've used them several times with oak and maple and the cuts are very good and don't require sanding. Plus, if one of the bits breaks or gets dull, I won't feel too bad about throwing it out and getting a new one since I only paid about $3 per bit. I did find cheaper sets online, but I was hesitant to buy, because when it comes to tools, you usually do get what you pay for. This set turned out to be a nice alternative. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants good quality bits but doesn't want to spend a ton of money.
