Good clamps for gluing and general purpose Jan 11, 2008
By Sagar S. Mungekar I purchased this 10-pack for a cabinet project involving gluing and clamping. I have been very pleased with this product.
The package comes with 10 individually wrapped spring clamps. Each has a 4 plastic sleeves over the handles and the tips. The clamps feel very sturdy. There is no give in the pivot, and they are ribbed, so they do not flex as some very cheap ones do.
The jaws open to a maximum of 2-1/2", which means that they can grab anything smaller than that, actually even a slight bit bigger than the advertised 2", which is nice. Each arm is about 6", giving enough leverage to open and close the jaws.
They do require a fair amount of pressure to open them, especially to their widest, but this also attests to their holding power. I've never had anything slip when using these.
My biggest criticism are the plastic sleeves. I've already had a few become cut and fall off after light use. They tend to get sliced along the edges. This seems to be a problem with most spring clams. It's fairly easy to use something else to cushion the jaws once the original ones fall off. It would have been nice though if they were made of a more flexible rubber than the plastic.
All in all, these are well-priced quality clamps.

Great clamps hold tight Mar 24, 2010

I have had these clamps for several years now. They work great and have not lost their tension. The only problem I have had is the rubberized ends occasionally slip off.
Does the trick Feb 12, 2012
By J. Hopkinson Bought these to attach a "green screen" to some doors in my apartment so I could do some video production. They were the right size, hold things in place super tight, and do the trick. If anything, they are a little difficult to open, but primarily because I have to extend them almost all the way open. The upside is, once they're on, they stay on.
"JAWS" clamp Jun 04, 2011
By Larry Nicholson These clamps are well made and if you don't need to clamp anything they'd work as Gym Equipment. These things are strong! My only problem is that the rubber coating has split on a couple of them but I use mine to clamp the boiler-lid down on my home essential oil/perfume distillation unit and they weren't advertised as heat proof so still 5 stars rating well earned!
