5Denali = Snap-On & Craftsman Quality  May 21, 2008 By Craig G. Lea
Totally impressed with this products quality and function.
Laser etching on the sockets for easy identification. The similar Snap-On design of the ratchets. As well as, the high quality of the steel alloys used. " ALL FOR LESS THAN HALF YOU WOULD PAY FOR SNAP-ON OR CRAFTSMAN."
As a retired Aircraft Mechanic I believe you cannot go wrong with choosing this set. I also purchased a set of Denali wrenches. Same good quality.
Sincerely, Craig Lea Central,Texas

2mediocre  Aug 29, 2008 By Norton Couron "old fart"
case does not allow firm hold of items - items fall out of slots when the case is carried. return policy is poor - 60 days. Not many people will use this product enough within 60 days to determine if it is something that does not fit their expectations or needs.

4A fine versatile buy!  Aug 17, 2008 By Ed F. Chalmers "Tinkerer plus"
This set arrived just in time as I had a mower and chipper/shredder needing work + a tiller to change tines on.

This is a fine quality set, good alloy steel, though probably not machine grade. Nevertheless, the sockets are clearly marked, fit securely in the wrenches, and release easily as needed. If I were to change anything on the set, it would be to add spinners and a few cross fittings and adaptors, such as 1/4" to 3/8" & 3/8" to 1/2", and at least one swivel adaptor for each size. In addition, it does contain 3 extensions, though one is a woefully small 2 1/2" 1/2" extension, but it includes a good selection of 6 point deep sockets, though sadly missing a better selection of 8 and especially, 12 point sockets. Ideally, making the missing items available in a add-on extension set would be quite useful.

The case, however, is another matter. While it is structurally solid, the initial opening made two discoveries: one poorly attached hinge flew off and the inside contents were scrambled in every direction. The problem: the molded plastic insert intended to hold the contents in place has flimsy backing, so once the case is closed and picked up by the convenient handle, everything goes everywhere. Solution: go by the nearest carpet store, get a piece of padding and glue it in the top of the case. Problem solved, though one might need to repeat the procedure beneath the plastic insert to avoid tearing from continued use.

I purchased this set to replace a few miscellaneous pieces, mainly in metric sizing. Overall, I think this is a fine set and a great buy for the price. The product description clearly states what is included, there are no surprises in the contents, and the performance is equal to, if not exceeding, what would be expected.

Respectfully,

Ed F. Chalmers

5Good set for the price  Jun 22, 2008 By T. Bench
As stated in the previous reviews this is a decent set with a so-so case. The case is fixable with $6 as it is in 2 pieces. A hard outer shell and a cheap inside liner for the tools themselves. My solution to the cheap liner was to fill the underside with spray foam window insulation. Press into the hard case, let it harden, and trim away the extra. But besides that, this is a very good set for the price.

3So-so Sockets  Jan 08, 2008 By Gorf Denroh
I understand that Amazon cannot be held accountable for the jostling and abuse during shipping. That said, when this set arrived, the tools and sockets were all over the place in the case (which is very poor quality by the way). Other than the cheap, flimsy case that does not actually "hold" the tools, it's a decent and affordable starter set. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.
