4One part shy of a perfect job  Nov 11, 2010 By Union Jack "Limey"
Well all I can say is that everything worked out perfect apart from the diverter valve didn't divert any water. Making a long story short took the housing off the old diverter valve and used the new stem from this kit and all worked out in the end. So this kit it very good for the price, just be aware that you might be using an old part here or there.

1This was a true waste of my money  Apr 29, 2008 By David
I purchased this trim kit to replace an original Gerber kit because that is what the kit was supposed to do. As it turns out, after paying a plumber to replace it, one of the stem valves was defective, and further, one of the seats was already cracked upon opening the package. There were also brass metal shavings in the package and on the parts enforcing the poor quality craftsmanship that apparently when into the production of these parts. Also, because the package came in sealed plastic, once I opened it, the packaging was destroyed and wasn't in any condition to return it in. So as a result, I had to purchase a new kit (from another manufacturer) to complete the job! So between the cost of the kit and shipping, $50 went down the drain (no pun intended), not to mention the labor cost for my plumber. Never again. Do not buy this product!

5This kit made my life VERY easy!  Feb 01, 2008 By TomasDelSol
I went to Home Depot to get replacement stems and each of the three was $15. And that was just the stems! I love Home Depot, but when I can get the entire rehab kit sent to me for the same price (complete with new knobs, flanges, cylinders AND the stem wrench which is really a necessary item).... well, it's a no brainer.

I had the old stems out and the rehab kit installed in about 30 minutes. The drip is gone and the handles and flanges look great!

5Simple and straightforward  Jan 30, 2010 By Marc B.
This was a direct change-out for the Gerber set that was in the wall. Couldn't be easier. Be sure to not over-tighten the brass valve to the brass valve holder that screws into the wall plumbing. I did that the first time and could barely turn the valves to use the shower. Valves should be tightened into the brass holder only enough to make them turn comfortably when used. Overall, this was an excellent product, and a great upgrade for little money.

4This complete set saved me money!  Oct 02, 2008 By Mr Smith "DIY"
If you have the time to wait for this it is well worth it.
Home Depot did not have all the stems (Danco made) and parts and going to find all the parts became expensive.
The parts were well protected in the package with the threads covered with rubber sleeves and everything was included.
This is a good deal.
