Great saw Dec 16, 2007
By Sean P. Logue
"If you can't win, change the rules."
I used to think all hack saws were the same, until I ran across this little beauty. The tension adjustment is perfect. I have a tendency to over tighten my blades, which warps and ruins them. This saw just clicks the blade into place at just the right tension.
Very comfortable to hold, easy to control, with a nice guard to keep you from getting hurt.
To top it all off, there is storage for blades inside the frame, so I actually have a chance of finding the blades I bought when it comes time to use the saw.
I really like this.

WOW this is a nice hack saw! Sep 13, 2006

"Former Marine, Librarian, Woodworker, Homebrewer"
I picked this saw up at my local Farm & Fleet store for about $17. After taking it home and performing about a dozen test cuts in wood, metal, and plastic I felt it was a pretty good saw. Now that I have used it for over a year for various home improvement jobs I am here to say that this is a great saw. The blade changing/tensioning mechanism is fast and simple and it is easy to use. The frame is strong, the grips are very comfortable, and the DeWalt blade that came with the saw is good and sharp. I had no problem cutting any of the materials I threw at this thing. I also feel that the hand guard is a good idea (it protects your hand at that point of "breakthrough" in the end of a cut).
I highly recommend this item to anyone with a need for a quality hacksaw.

GREAT TOOL Jan 01, 2010
By Ronald D. Letang i work using hacksaw mostly everyday. in the past i purchased a few hacksaws, at first they tend to hold the blades straight but as times pass with the use of them they bend the blades and eventually the teeth keep breaking. I've only been using this for 1 week and i still have the same blade. i would have to be changing blades everyday or two with my old hacksaw. but with this beast my blades last longer. this hacksaw feels very comfortable. changing blades is very easy even a 4 yr old could do it. the guys at work love the hacksaw, its the best hacksaw they say they've used in decades of working construction. i highly recommend it n its well worth the price.

Now this is a hack saw! Dec 05, 2008
By Dick Johnson Throw away your old ones and quickly back away - to get one of these. There's little to say that isn't in the product description - it does what you expect it to do and it does it very, very well.
You can also drop your gym membership. This puppy is heavy. Saw some pipe to build up your biceps.

big & stout... Jul 03, 2007
By M. Chamberlain Strong & solid. This saw doesn't flex much at all. The handle is a little too large for my liking. It would be nice if it was slightly slimmer. I've got pretty big hands, but I found my right hand a little stiff after cutting through a metal tube. Also, the blade it comes with isn't very good. But, I wasn't expecting it to come with a blade at all. So, I suppose I can't really complain about a free blade, now can I?
