Make sure you really need this Oct 18, 2001
By Mark Wilden Be aware that many of the items in this set are duplicates of each other. Also, there are only two nutdrivers. The screw guide is good, and it's smaller and easier to use than the one sold separately. Certainly, the quality seems excellent. But really think carefully about whether the two tips included with the screwdriver itself aren't sufficient, because this set just doesn't add that much.

Excellent Quality May 09, 2008
By Johnson I have had this set for several months now and have come to appreciate what others call "duplicates" as well as the perceived poor quality of the case. First off the duplicates in the case are the pieces you use the most, phillips bits. Because the tolerances of screws are not as tight as they should be I consistently round out either the head of the screw or the bit. The fact that this kit comes with several allows you to fit the bit tip to the screw. Second the longer bits are great for areas where a little extra length is required. I recently installed a hi-loft in my garage and the longer bits came in very handy and these bits don't normally come in a set this inexpensive. Lastly the case, the size of the case is perfect when I have a small job to do around the house and don't want to carry my 100 piece case around. The bits don't fall out of their holders like many bits in other cases. Yes they are a little snug and I have large hands so it can be difficult to get them out but I would prefer that to all of them falling out every time I open the case.

For a few more dollars...more items here Feb 17, 2006
By Traveler I was going to get the 21 piece DW2161...but I figure for $8 more I get a better value. More items (in case of loss or wearout) and a magnetic driver which alone is already the price difference.

technically it's not 37 pieces Oct 19, 2008
By Dave this is a great set, and it practically got to me over-night (with standard shipping). the only problems i have with this set (in no particular order) are:
A) The pieces are a real pain to get in and out
B) i can't fit the case in my drill case (i have a DC750KA) but that's not a real problem
C) it's not really 37-piece because they give you more than one of the same bit
C.1) i know this adds up to 45 that's because i went by number of heads not bits

Just O.K.; Not Great Dec 20, 2008
By John N. Schear
"cxxi121"
Impressed at first and disappointed now. In the beginning (sounds familiar) there was a really good looking set of screw bits that actually worked fairly well with light screwing. But after a few months and having to install window blinds I became disappointed with the results. I made a specific point to match the screw head with the screw bit so that the job would be easier. I additionally pre-screwed the holes to make it further easier. Then came the surprise. The screw bits did not hold the screws. That is the screw heads were stronger than the screw bit. Now that is wrong. Really wrong. If anything the screw head should be the first to go but not with these bits. Instead of leaving the job incomplete I resorted to my old (1973 vintage) Craftsman ratchet screwdriver and the original bit that came with it to finish the job. Now that's wrong.
