5The World in Red  Aug 24, 2008 By Jerry H. Bond
Not only do these glasses work, they are comfortable, cool and sturdy. I was impressed at how they enhance the red-laser beam in daylight. They are a must for outdoor red-laser work. If you really want a rush, wear them outdoors right after sunset - or on a cloudy day. Where were these glasses in the sixties? Green lasers are fairly visible in daylight with the naked eye. I bet viewing a green laser through green lenses would really knock your socks off.

5Good quality  May 14, 2009 By Renee
Laser glasses are not found at your local Home Depot or Lowes, so I was thrilled to find them on Amazon. They are good quality and perform exactly as they should. I am now able to use my laser measurer outside in the sunlight with no problems.

5Comparing Bosch and Dewalt laser glasses?  Jun 27, 2011 By Nathaniel J. West
I bought both the Bosch DLA001 Laser View-Enhancing Glasses and these glasses in the same shipment. I was paying for overnight shipping and it was no increase in shipping to get another pair so why not?

First off, I am using these glasses with the Bosch Dual Plane Leveling and Alignment Laser, Model# GLL2-80. I doubt that using another make of laser would affect my experience but there you go.

Both glasses do the job. They make the red laser line much easier to see in all conditions. Without the glasses, it is impossible to see the beam at 30 feet away in bright sunlight. If you have a red reflector, that makes it possible to see the beam, but you have to work hard to see it and it's difficult to be sure of your measurement. With the glasses, it's much easier. It doesn't fundamentally change the use of a laser level. The beams are still hard to see in super-bright light and/or at a distance. But they are very inexpensive, so you really should get a pair, either pair, to help your laser leveling tasks.

Now you want to know which pair is better, these or the Bosch. I will be returning this pair and keeping the Bosch. The Bosch ones make the beam show up just a tad bit more, but really, just a tad. The Bosch glasses are ridonculous-sized, which is a good thing if you need to wear eyeglasses underneath them. The Dewalts are more comfortable. But I don't care about comfort when I'm laser leveling, I just want the best performance. And the Bosch glasses are better than the Dewalts. But either is great.

4Not a miracle worker, but work!  Jan 25, 2011 By Nathaniel Allen
I bought these to read elevations off of a grade rod outdoors, shot off of a PLS180 180-degree Plumb and Level Line Laser laser level. When I'm not using the glasses for viewing lasers, I like to wear them to Starbucks and pretend I'm Bono from U2.

In overcast daylight, at thirty or so feet, an otherwise invisible beam becomes visible when projected against the right surfce (white or wood: Yes; dull or shiny steel: No). Granted, I've often still got to hunt for it, and just as often I can remove the glasses an barely make out the beam, now that I know where to look.

At 50 feet, forget about it. Got to get to it in early morning or wait for the evening. And my Agatec CPL50 Self Leveling Cross Line Laser Level Kit, being only half as bright as the PLS, is still only good for about half the distance.

But all-in-all, these glasses make locating red laser lines in bright light easy, and I'm happy to have them.
