CLC G340 Prof Gel Kneepads May 04, 2007
By MEW Gardens
"Ms MEW"
I've been wearing these kneepads to garden in for the past 4-5 years. At that time, I was going through specific "gardening" kneepads every year and they weren't protecting my knees at all. I even started wearing 2 knee pads together to get the protection I wanted. Then one day I walked into Sears to get something in the tool department and saw these. They were described as "the best kneepad for tilers working on hard surfaces". I checked them out and thought they just might work. As I said, that was 4-5 years ago and I'm just now replacing them for the first time! When you add up what other kneepads (gel or not) cost over this same period of time, you will see that you've spent more than what these costs! More importantly, however, is that you're protecting your knees. I had arthroscopic surgery on both knees last year and am still having problems with one. I wouldn't wear any other kneepad for protection unless CLC came up with an even better one. This kneepad can't be beat!!!

Comfortable, but constant adjustment Feb 15, 2008

These are the first knee pads I've owned for professional contract work. They are comfortable and certainly are a vast improvement over bare knees on hard floors! I used them to install a wood floor, and will note that one of my co-workers had a different brand that left marks all over the floor. To their credit, these pads did not. My one complaint is that they require nearly constant adjustment. The top straps slide in their friction buckles, so almost every time I stood up I had to lift the knee pads higher on my leg and cinch down the top adjustment strap. Very annoying! The bottom strap is held in place by velcro, which seems a much better way to go.

Comfortable but a bit of a bother Aug 10, 2008

These kneepads keep the pressure off my knees while I am working on in the garden, and also when I am down on the floor scrubbing or painting. The problem I have is keeping them from slipping down. I am trying to think of a way to attach them to something like chaps, or straps that would keep them from moving. Perhaps I need to experiment more with how tightly to buckle and Velcro them on. They are not hard to put on. Cheaper kneepads I have used slipped around much worse, attached with one strap each, and the straps slipped and loosened in the buckles.
The gel seems to make a real difference in the cushioning ability of these kneepads. I am thinking a person could spend a lot more time in prayer, with these!

Easy on the Knees Jun 27, 2010
By al1d8gun I'm a freelance sports photographer and I spend most of the time on my knees photographing little kids competing. These kneepads are very comfortable during long periods of kneeling. They are a little bulky, but they are work its price and comfort. They are durable and can withstand any ground elements.
They are great for any photographer who is usually on their knees attempting to get a great shot, or any construction job, home remodel, or the occasional garden work. Like it said earlier, they're the best bang for the buck.
