As an electrician this is the most practical bag i have ever owned. The two compartments on either sides have individual pockets keep all my everyday tools organized and easy to find. The center compartment is long enough to fit my hack saw, hammer, long screwdrivers and other extras. the only thing that worries me is the heavy duty zippers sometimes skip teeth when they turn corners on the bag. But i have seen these bags at 5 years old and the zippers were still in tact. Its to bad they don't have more descriptive pictures or i would have bought this bag sooner.

Plenty of pockets for all of my IT/Telecom tools and center section is roomy enough for my laptop case, the only bad thing I can say about this bag is that there is no way to lock the bag to secure the contents.

This bag is huge! You are warned. I was looking for something a little larger than what I carry now and thought this would do it but it is really big. Great construction and quality and I really wanted to keep it but I knew it wasn't what I needed so I shipped it back. This would be a great tool bag for anyone that is on the go and needs all of their tools with them. For me, I work around the house mostly and occasionally take my tools on the road so I opted for the 1528 instead. It is similar to what I have now and I really like the open top design for instant access to my tools. With the 1539 I would constantly be zipping it open and closed. Should have realized that before I ordered but it sank in the minute I took it out of the box. Still giving it 5 stars because it is a great bag, just not for me.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of this bag. I use it primarily to take my tools between home and boat. CLC does themselves a diservice by not showing all its pockets and features on its website. Outside zippered pocket, inside mesh pockets, inside bit pockets, special attachment for tape measures, outside flap pocket, well made zippers, d-ring attachment, should strap. As others have said it is very large and filled, quite heavy. On the other hand, with all the pockets it is very easy to sort your tools. I previously had a bag with outside tool pockets thinking it would be easy to grab tools. It was. It was also easy for them to fall out, having lost a new set of pliers. With this bag, all the tools are zipped closed and cannot be lost. The outside zippered flaps for the tool pockets have retainers so when open, will lay flat. Well thought out bag that holds a ton (almost literally) of tools and gear. Thanks to the other reviews for helping to make my choice.

I'm an apprentice plumber and I use a CLC 14" open top tool bag for all my standard plumbing tools. I bought this to store all the other random tools I didn't want weighing down my other bag. The middle pocket is pretty huge, I keep an 18v Dewalt sawzall, drill, light, charger, drill bit set, small socket set, 18" & 24" pipe wrenches, utility chisel, 3 lb. sledge, and who knows what else in it. The two sides have a ton of pockets, I think I have about %50 full. It usually sits in my truck so I can't tell you how well it holds up under heavy use but I've had my other CLC bag for almost 3 years and it's still kicking, and I think this bag is better quality.
