Allows me to shovel more....snow! Mar 02, 2009

Well built and ultra lite weight, allows me to loadup and shovel less. Additionally, I have a flat roof with a rubber membrane that is easily damaged using metal shovels, so the Ames plastic shovel worx wonders.

Best Snow Shovel To Which I Have Put My Hand, Ever Feb 02, 2011
By James W. Friedman I've been using this to shovel snow for about 2 months now. Its been a snowy winter, dry snow, wet snow, deep snow, just dustings of snow. This shovel is GREAT !!! My back never hurts, I can move the snow, heavy or light, without great effort. I can't imagine why this has not become the conventional snow shovel. It is the only one I'll ever use. I can't say enough good about it. Light-weight, sturdy, long handle saves your back and increases your leverage and throw radius, wet snow doesn't stick to the blade...This is a working tool...I repeat - I cannot say enough good about this shovel as a snow-clearing tool...I'm a happy camper...

Great for shovelling heavy snow Feb 17, 2010
By TLM This is a great snow shovel for heavy, wet snow. It is sturdy enough to offer support when throwing the snow. Not being metal makes it easy to pick up the snow without scraping up the driveway or porch. I have bought them as gifts for friends since I live in Colorado where heavy snowfall is the norm in the winter.
This is what you should shovel snow with. Jun 28, 2011

I've been through two tough winters with this scoop and it's been a life (and back) saver. The long handle makes it so you don't have to bend so much. The snow just slides right off and it's good at scraping down to the pavement. It works well with most kinds of snow even the packed stuff. I still have to get the metal square shovel out for frozen slush and ice though. The size of the scoop makes moving snow quick enough without the heavy lifting required with the big square snow shovels. The wooden handle and plastic scoop are also very light which also makes this shovel easy to use.
