5Handy tie downs  Oct 06, 2009 By E. Bickford
I used to work for a small independent moving company and we used ratchet straps on a very regular basis. These are some of the better straps I've used. They have rubber pads on both the ratchet handle and the release making them more friendly to use without gloves. They stay tight and have come in very handy for tying down large awkward loads in the bed of my truck, refrigerator, washer dryer, flooring, trees, bushes, etc....

Only thing to be aware of is that the hooks are a doubled up piece of @ 3/8" steel so they're a little wide. Not always easy to fit into other hooks and tie down cleats. These are made with a pretty fine fiber so I'm not sure how well they'll hold up to abrasion with heavy regular use but so far they've been great.

5Strap Er Down  Aug 07, 2010 By remostradamus
So Far, So Good! I hate the ratcheting straps that turn sideways in the release GRRRRRRRRrrrrrr. So far these don't!

5Ratchet Tie Downs  Dec 06, 2009 By Barbara Henderson "B Henderson"
The super Duty Tie downs are very nice, they are so easy to use and save a lot of time, much better than the old ones we used before we got these. I would recommend them to anyone that uses tie down.

5Great little tie down  Feb 20, 2012 By Stephen Thomas
These straps are great. I have had them for a year and have no problems. They are long enough to go around and through the car (windows down) if you don't have the right attachment sights on your roof rack for what you want to carry. I have used them for long and short hauls and nothing moves... including a canoe strapped to a car without any roof rack, just the foam pads from REI.

5Extremely satisfied  May 18, 2012 By Peter
Bought these for a cross country road trip involving a Budget truck and two large motorcycles. All I can say is that these items worked splendidly for the entire trip. They DID NOT loosen up over a 1200 mile journey, they didn't snap, and they didn't fray. So far, so good. The handles and ratcheting mechanism works well, but the strap I have to say seems a little flimsy. I wouldn't let that sway you, though, because they worked well for me and I am sure they are good up to the manufacturers suggested rating.
